About
Kevin (Tonghe) Tang is a cinematographer whose creative vision bridges the cultures of both New York and Beijing. Currently based in these two dynamic cities, he is pursuing a bachelor's degree in Film & Television at the prestigious New York University Tisch School of the Arts, where he is honing his skills in visual storytelling.
Originally from Beijing, Kevin grew up surrounded by the rich traditions of East Asian cinema, particularly influenced by the modern waves of independent filmmakers who brought a fresh, bold approach to filmmaking. The realistic, naturalistic style of storytelling in these films left a lasting impression on him and shaped his own artistic aspirations. Through his work, he seeks to create visually compelling narratives that explore the nuances of human experience, drawing from both Eastern and Western cinematic traditions.
As he continues to develop his craft at NYU, Kevin is eager to push the boundaries of what can be achieved in visual storytelling, with a deep commitment to telling stories that are grounded in the real world but resonate on a universal scale.
